Beamsplitter Plate | Beamsplitter Cube | Polarization Beamsplitter Cube

 

Regular Beamsplitter are used to split or combine laser beam. Polarization BeamSplitters are used to split or combine two perpendicular polarization laser beam. The performance of beam splitter depends on the coating specifications. For the coating curves of each types of beamsplitters, please refer to Coating section for more information.

To select a suitable beamsplitter, you need to consider the type, coating, transmission range and damage threshold.

Beamsplitter Plate

Polarization Beamsplitter Cube

The polarization beamsplitter cube can separate a laser beam into two different polarization beam, which can be used as polarizer, beamsplitter or polarization beam combiner. The output beam, which is parallel to input beam is called the p-polarized beam, while the orthogonal output beam is defined as the s-polarized beam.
